Rather than learning a single treatment in isolation, you’ll develop your capabilities across manicure, pedicure, nail enhancements, e-filing and nail art while also exploring the standards, client care and salon knowledge that underpin professional practice.

You’ll train in a small, supportive learning environment at Portway Farm Barns, with practical teaching, tutor guidance and opportunities to develop your skills throughout the programme.

What You’ll Learn

The programme covers the knowledge and practical skills required across the qualification, including:

• Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
• Apply and maintain nail enhancements
• Provide manicure treatments
• Provide pedicure treatments
• Maintain personal health and wellbeing
• Client care and communication in beauty-related industries
• Enhance nails using an e-file
• Design and apply nail art
• Display stock to promote sales in a salon
• Promote products and services to clients in a salon

Course Highlights

• Duration: One day per week for 20 weeks
• Delivery: Face-to-face practical and theory learning at our training centre
• Location: Portway Farm Barns, Harlaston, near Tamworth
• Training Resources: Products and equipment provided for use during centre-based training
• Home Practice: Training kit provided to support practice between sessions

• Assessment: Portfolio of evidence demonstrating achievement of the qualification learning outcomes and assessment criteria

Entry Requirements

Learners should have an appropriate level of literacy and numeracy to support the communication and written elements of the programme. We may use diagnostic assessment where appropriate so that we can identify how best to support you throughout your qualification.
