Award in Education & Training (AET)

The Level 3 Award in Education & Training (AET) we offer at Trans4m Training  is the ideal foundation course.  If you are looking to teach in the adult education and skills sector, we are confident you can take this course regardless of your skill level.  Break into this sector and start on the path towards your career goal.  We believe there is no better qualification for you to begin this journey.  We offer this qualification to you as face to face delivery, where you attend our training centre.  Alternatively you can learn at your own pace from home.  We will provide you with all the necessary support and resources to achieve this qualification.

Trans4m Training are also able to provide training for you in the Level 4 Certificate and the Level 5 Diploma.

This qualification can be followed up with levels 4 and 5 if you wish to extend your knowledge beyond this foundation level.

By completing the Focus Awards Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET qualification) you will be taking the first step in teacher training.  We will guide you through this learning pathway which can take you all the way to a PGCS (Postgraduate Certificate in Education).

Duration

We deliver this course on a face to face basis and we ask you to attend our training centre for 2 full days.  In addition, we will ask you to complete home study hours and submit assignments which we will assess.

We are also able to offer this qualification on a remote/distance learning basis.  You will complete theory and assignments from home.  However, we will need you to attend our training centre to carry out a micro teach session which we will assess.  If you decide to study from home you will have a maximum of 12 months to complete the qualification.  We will provide you with 1:1 support throughout your study to ensure you feel confident and fully understand each Unit.

What We Will Cover:

We will expect you to spend approximately 120 hours on completion of this qualification.

You will complete the following three units:

1: Understanding the Roles, Responsibilities and Relationships in Education and Training.
2: Understanding and using inclusive learning and teaching approaches in education and training.
3: Understanding the principles and practices of assessment

Accreditation

This qualification is offered to you through Focus Awards.  When you have successfully completed this qualification, you will hold a Level 3 Award.  You will find this is widely recognised in the teaching sector (post 16).
